NAVTA Journal CE Overview

The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) publishes The NAVTA Journal on a bi-monthly basis. Each issue contains an article approved by RACE for technicians. The applicable article is included within the course therefore access to The NAVTA Journal is not required to enroll. These articles are open to all members of the veterinary community for the fee stated in the payment area below.

RACE Approved For Veterinary Technicians/Nurses

Course meets the requirements for 1 RACE hours of continuing education credit for veterinary technicians in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB's RACE approval. Course Focus and Learning Objectives

Cooperative Veterinary Care is a self study course.

This course aims to provide a comfortable and reduced-stress medical experience for patients, veterinary teams, and clients. By observing and responding to patient body language, creating a hospital environment conductive to stress reduction, and employing specialized training and behavior modification techniques, veterinary teams can provide a great deal of medical care using little or no manual restraint.

At the end of the presentation attendees should be able to:

  • define Cooperative Veterinary Care
  • discuss and differentiate between level 1, 2 and 3 patients
  • implement prevention and training protocols.

 

Open Enrollment with Immediate Access and Individual Scheduling

This is an open enrollment course. Participants may enroll at any time. Upon submission of enrollment the participant is immediately added to the course. The course welcome email provides login and other important information.

This is an asynchronous course, meaning it does not contain real time components. Participants do not need to be logged into the course at specific times to attend lectures or view presentations. Participants do not need to complete the course in one sitting.

Completion Deadline:

Participants have 60 days from date of enrollment to view the presentation, as often as desired, as well as submit the two completion requirements outlined below. If after 60 days the completion requirements have not been submitted, the participant will be graded out of the course as incomplete.

 

Completion Requirements

The completion requirements for this course are:

  • complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted
  • submit the course survey

Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
