VetCE on Demand: The Behavior Behind the Bite: Medical and Behavioral Insights into Feline Aggression utilizes the archive of a live presentation under the same name.
This course helps veterinary professionals understand and recognize normal feline behavior and identify early signs of concern. It reviews common medical and behavioral causes of feline aggression, emphasizes the importance of a thorough diagnostic approach, and presents key management and treatment strategies. Practical approaches to intervention are discussed, including environmental modifications, training, behavior modification, and the appropriate use of medication when needed.
After completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- compare and contrast normal feline behaviors with behaviors that may indicate an underlying issue
- outline the various medical and behavioral causes of feline aggression
- list practical approaches to managing feline aggression, including environmental, behavioral, and pharmacologic strategies

Participants have30 days from date of enrollment to view the presentation, as often as desired, as well as submit the two completion requirements outlined below. If after 30 days the completion requirements have not been submitted, the participant will be graded out of the course as incomplete.

The completion requirements for this course are:
- complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted
- submit the course survey
Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
