The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) publishes The NAVTA Journal on a bi-monthly basis. Each issue contains an article approved by RACE for technicians. The applicable article is included within the course therefore access to The NAVTA Journal is not required to enroll. These articles are open to all members of the veterinary community for the fee stated in the payment area below.

Course meets the requirements for 1 RACE hours of continuing education credit for veterinary technicians in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB's RACE approval. However, participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery.

Course Focus and Learning Objectives |
Otitis: Weighing All the Factors is a self study course.
This course will review ear anatomy and an explanation of how the four factors of ear disease play a role in otitis. it will also discuss successful treatment of ear disease
Upon completion, participants should be able to:
- outline ear anatomy
- discuss how the 4 factors of ear disease play a role in otitis
- explain why controlling these 4 factors is essential to successful treatment of ear disease
- discuss various diagnostics and treatments

Open Enrollment with Immediate Access and Individual Scheduling |
This is an open enrollment course. Participants may enroll at any time. Upon submission of enrollment the participant is immediately added to the course. The course welcome email provides login and other important information.
This is an asynchronous course, meaning it does not contain real time components. Participants do not need to be logged into the course at specific times to attend lectures or view presentations. Participants do not need to complete the course in one sitting.
Completion Deadline:
Participants have 30 days from date of enrollment to view the presentation, as often as desired, as well as submit the two completion requirements outlined below. If after 30 days the completion requirements have not been submitted, the participant will be graded out of the course as incomplete.

Completion Requirements |
The completion requirements for this course are:
- complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted
- submit the course survey
Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
