Course Focus and Learning Objectives
VetCE on Demand: The Eye is the Window - Ocular Manifestations of Systemic Disease utilizes the archive of a live presentation under the same name. Ocular lesions can be clues to underlying systemic disease. On the flip side, systemic disease can result in ophthalmic pathology ranging from incidental to vision threatening. Comprehensive physical and ophthalmic examination will lead to the most complete assessment of a patient's health. Knowledge of ocular manifestations of systemic disease will facilitate formulation of differential and definitive diagnoses as well as support patient vision and ocular health. At the end of the course participants should be able to: discuss differential diagnoses for systemic diseases that may cause lesions in each anatomic part of the eye outline ophthalmic disorders that can be anticipated with a variety of systemic diseases explain the most common causes of uveitis in dogs and cats discuss how hypertensive retinopathy presents differently in dogs versus cats list clinical signs and causes of neuro-ophthalmic disorders in cats and dogs/li>

Completion Requirements
The completion requirements for this course are: complete the quiz with a score of 80% or better - multiple attempts are permitted submit the course survey Upon submission of the final completion requirement, the participant will automatically be marked as completed and the course completion email will be sent out. The participant will have immediate access to the certificate.
