Participant Feedback

When asked what aspects of the course liked best some responses were:

...She gave straight forward common sense ways to deal with reviews without being overly emotional about them.

...Good presentation. Presenter gave useful advice on how to deal with negative reviews as well as reviews in general. Better just to realize that it is a game of strategy,

...The part about responding to as many reviews as possible being a deterrent for other people to leave negative reviews was an interesting concept to me. Makes sense

...Bark less, Wag more

Course Focus and Learning Objectives

VetCE on Demand: Zero Stars, Do Not Recommend - Handling Negative Online Reviews A self-study distance course which utilizes the archive of a RACE approved presentation of the same name together with a 5 question quiz.

Reputation management for the practice is a necessary evil. Negative reviews create a lot of harmful emotional noise you must sift through during your already busy day. There are different types of negative reviews. It will help you embrace your inner 'wet-blanket' when dealing with dumpster fire reviews online. The last thing you want to do is pour gasoline on a fire.

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • outline the anatomy of a review response
  • evaluate whe embrace your inner 'wet-blanket' when dealing with dumpster fire reviews online. The last thing you want to do is pour gasoline on a fin to respond and when to ignore
  • discuss the various types of false reviews and actions that can be taken
  • explain the impact of acting on emotions when crafting reviews
