Participant Feedback

When asked what aspects of the course liked best some responses were:

...The speaker explained why the need for financial literacy will impact the workplace and made clear suggestions

...Unique, refreshing, and actually helpful! (compared to some CE) The concept that I will take back to the ownership is that it is important to address and help employees with overall personal wellbeing ( including financial wellbeing) , because they will have less personal stress, therefore being able to focus on work when they are at work. Our people will be more productive and happier!

...I think this type of information is sorely needed in the veterinary industry. Yes, veterinarians can use it, but I think the support staff in veterinary hospitals are further behind when it comes to educating themselves on financial security. If they understood that even starting our saving a "little bit" and putting a "little bit" into a retirement account would benefit them in the long run it would be helpful.

...This was a completely new topic for me. Very interesting & very informative. I was pleasantly surprised with the content. Speaker was organized and focused. Thanks so much

Course Focus and Learning Objectives

VetCE on Demand: Financial Wellness Education as an Employee Benefit utilizes the archive of a live presentation under the same name.

Designed for employers and practice managers who are working to become true advocates for their team’s health and wellness, this course focuses on ways to deliver financial education to employees. Fifty-four percent of employees say financial challenges and decisions cause them the most stress. Bringing them the education and the clarity that they need around money matters can produce a more joyful culture.

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • discuss how financial stress affects businesses and the veterinary industry
  • explain why realizing how most people make financial decisions outlines how an employer can help
  • outline total financial wellness programs that are available for employers to deliver to employees
