Profile and School Information for Veterinary Assistant Students and Instructors

The veterinary assistant plays a vital role in the delivery of quality care. In order to be able to reach full potential, the veterinary assistant needs access to quality training spanning all areas of the practice. In addition, veterinary assistants who have completed both knowledge based and hands-on training deserve to be recognized for their efforts. VetMedTeam recognizes the importance of the veterinary assistant and strongly supports quality training and the AVA designation.

For a list of NAVTA approved veterinary assistant programs leading to the Approved Veterinary Assistant designation please visit NAVTA Assistant Programs.

Please do not submit a membership profile unless you are actively enrolled in a NAVTA approved program outside of VetMedTeam or you have received submission permission from VetMedTeam after completing the pre-enrollment process for our Externship Option.

As outlined in our privacy and terms of use policy, a VetMedTeam membership profile belongs to the member.

We understand that in some situations an instructor may create VetMedTeam membership profiles on behalf of students. Regardless of who creates the profile, only the member listed in the profile can obtain login information or make changes to the profile. This includes requests to delete a profile in order to resubmit a new profile when the student forgets his or her access combination.

Instructors will be advised to have the student/member contact VetMedTeam directly, via the email address in the member's profile, to obtain whatever help is needed.
