... I liked the outlining of the different species of ticks and the diseases they transmitted. It made it easy to copy down and make my own list to have as a reference.
... no real-time class. The information was concise and easy to understand.
... I love being able to go at my own pace and have the material available to me online.
... Being able to access the course whenever I wanted or had some spare time. It was a good refresher course from technician school and actually had some information that wasn't covered in tech school. I was impressed with how through the course was without being really drawn out.
... Very relavent and practical to everyday practice. Concise and to the point. Good review.

Stephanie Plattner, RVT

|
Stephanie is a 1992 graduate of the Purdue University Veterinary Technology Program. Immediately following graduation she went to Knoxville, TN and worked at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in the Radiology Department. During her stay in Tennessee she also worked nights and weekends in Small Animal ICU and volunteered in the Large Animal Hospital. In October of 1993, Stephanie moved back to Indiana to accept a Diagnostic Imaging position with the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Stephanie is currently still with Purdue and has worked in the Large Animal Surgery, Medicine and Anesthesia sections of the hospital. Currently she works as a full-time teaching technician and is no longer on the clinic floor. Her responsibilities include working with a problem-based learning course and teaching freshman and sophomore veterinary students both in the classroom and in labs. Her position as Instructional Coordinator Technologist is very rewarding and presents many welcome challenges.
Stephanie has held offices in the Indiana Veterinary Technician’s Association (IVTA), National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America as well as the Veterinary Technicians Anesthetist’s Society (VTAS). With VTAS she served as Executive Secretary, Member-at-Large, and as a publishing member of the newsletter team.
In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys reading, playing the piano and gardening. She is quite involved with many ministries at her church and is pursuing a call to ministry. She also enjoys volunteering at both a children’s hospital and with the American Cancer Society.
Stephanie shares her home with her black lab Barkley and a cockatiel named Spider. In the warmer months of the year she loves to spend as much time as possible helping to exercise and train horses at her friend’s boarding stable.
