...I really appreciated the advice on welcoming the new employee.
...As a busy hospital, the new employee tends to get "thrown in", which I feel as a manager uncomfortable about. In the future, I will not only include staff on the welcome letter, share the new employees name on our website and Facebook page and also I will schedule a time before their first shift where I can go through the new employee checklist and osha/safety material.
...The assignments moved me towards a better orientation program.
