HOSPITAL PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND BENCHMARKS

This 2 week course is designed to help management staff members understand KPI's (key performance indicators) and how to use benchmarking as a valuable tool.

| Learning Objectives |
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- understand standard veterinary performance measures, how often the information should be collected, and where it comes from
- understand some of the more sophisticated KPIs in small animal practice
- understand basic veterinary industry norms, or benchmarks
- compare your practice performance against these benchmarks
- appreciate the limitations inherent in benchmarking

Some of the topics covered include identifying trends in veterinary medicine, standard performance measures, and practice perfomance vs. industry norms.
